Customer Question

We have an SR-GA721 rice cooker. Actually, we have 2. We recently switched to these for cooking rice in our Thai restaurant.
It seems both units shut off before the rice is fully cooked. We've attempted smaller batches, as well as changing proportion of rice:water.
Our restaurant is at an elevation of 7k' above sea level. Might this have something to do with our issues?
Any insights you might have would be most appreciated.

Hello, if you are that high above sea level the unit will not work properly, the unit may be shutting off thinking it is at temp as the boiling point is only 199 degrees at 7000 ft above seal level. The thermostats are designed to operate at sea level so there is really no way to fool the internal thermostats or sensors on it.
