Hello from JA
My name is Woody.
I will be glad to assist you today.
I have been servicing ALL Major Brands of Appliances for 35 Years,
and have over 100,000 in home repairs and over 80,000 internet repairs under my belt.

Sorry to hear that you are having washer issues.

This design is becoming infamous with lid /lock switch issues !

When the lid locks it is suppost to send a signal to the control board to tell the control that the lid is closed and also locked.

but the switch do not always tell the control that the lid has locked and if it has not told the control board this information ,the control just stops and does nothing .

Let`s try this trick first unplug the washer for over 5 minutes.

This should reboot the control boards memory and unlock the lid once plugged back in.

let me know if it does or does not unlock the lid.
