Hello, this is Dave. Is there any pitting into the finish or is it just the color mostly that you see?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No pitting, just color

Okay, thanks. Here is what to try from easiest to hardest. Get a quality stainless steel cleaner/polish. The manufacturer number is ***** for an 8 oz bottle. If that doesn't get it all there is a rust remover power that has always worked for me on the tough areas. It is part number W10278629 for 14 oz. You make a paste with some water and rub the rust off. You need a soft cotton cloth and rub the direction of the grain. After you remove the rust with the powder you need to reapply the polish to the entire door.
