Customer Question

LAT9734AAE washer fills with water but will not agitate.
When mode is in delicate, the washer works, drains and spins without any problems.

Thanks for counting on us to help with your appliance problem. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! If it runs in delicate cycles, the issue is likely with the timer. If you move the timer knob up and down in a regular cycle, does the motor start at all? Any humming or buzzing sounds from the motor at all?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Just humming.
Also, while the water is filling, I would stop the water and adjust the Infinite Water Level dial. Depending on dial setting, when I turn the washer back on, the washer would continue adding water or go into the humming mode.

Is the humming coming from the motor? Any change when the timer knob is moved around, up and down, etc?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
You want me to physically move the timer like there's a short connection?
When I play with the dial, I hear only the humming.
I rotate it to delicates and everything works without any problems.

Correct, just move the knob up and down and side to side, any change?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Now there is no sound, not even the hum.
When I try to move the knob left/right, up/down nothing happens.
But when I put it on delicates, run without any problems.
Thanks, Sal

I suspect the issue lies with the timer, PART NUMBER 22001253, showing as no longer available.

Hi Kelly,
Thanks for the help.
As luck would have it, I purchased a timer several years ago trying to troubleshoot a previous issue.
When I determined that the timer was not the issue I put it away for a rainy day in the future.
I guess it's now pouring. I opened the new timer box yesterday. Looks in good order.
I will swap it out tonight and let you know how it goes.
Again, thanks. Sal

Okay, that is great news! Keep me posted, thank you!
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Replaced the timer with the new one.
6 screws and 19 minutes later the timer was installed and working.
Thanks for the help.
