Customer Question

Our Meile Oven Pair H398BP2 is 10 years old and has never operated at the temperature desired. When the bell sounds that it is at temp. it is 35 degrees off nad when we wait for 45 min. it may get to within 20 degrees of the temp required. We have to guess at an elevated temp. in order to have the temperature required.

Thanks for counting on us to help with your appliance problem. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! Often times, the thermometer you use for measuring the actual oven temperature is a steel wound type that is accurate but slow to react. The sensors used in the oven for the control system are electronic and are very fast to react. Typically, that poses no issue unless you are baking for short times, like with cookies and such. Those types of baking will require an extended preheat time beyond the control beeping to let you know is has gotten hot enough. That extra time is referred to as "Cavity Conditioning" and is standard, manufacturer wide. If the temperature is consistently off after 45 minutes, you can adjust the control to get hotter. Has the control ever been adjusted during the last 10 years worth of service calls?
