Customer Question

I have a kitchen aid oven Model # *****
it is giving me a message to set the "probe" I cannot get this message to clear. I have flipped off my breaker to try to reset, when it comes back on it wants me to seset the clock. As soon as I do that it immediately goes to the message of :

The probe socket has become fouled so the control thinks you are using it. You can try spraying some electrical contact cleaner into the probe socket and see if that solves the issue. IF it does not then the socket will need to be replaced.

I wiped down the probe plug in and still have the same message.

You came here for an answer from someone who has been doing this for over 30 yrs. Unless you follow exactly what I said to do then the problem will remain. Wiping it off does nothing.
