I have a GE side by side refrig w water and ice on the outside

Customer Question

I have a GE side by side refrig w water and ice on the outside of the freezer door. Ice seems to melt together in the storage bin. I suspected that the rubber flapper that allows the ice to drop out the door into your glass was not closing or resealing. I taped off the ice feed button and pushed the flapper tight. That seemed to help. I miss ice dropping out of the door (and not having to open the door and reach in by hand for ice). Any suggestions???
