Randy model WTW6800WL1, sometimes I get the Ld error code,

Customer Question

Hi Randy model WTW6800WL1, sometimes I get the Ld error code, I cancel reset, and still shows up usually last 12 mins of cycle. So I cancel and hit drain and spin cycle then will work. Also when you hit cancel/pause it won't let you continue with the cycle, I have to power off which doesn't work either. I then disconnect power plug, then power up and will work. Doesn't happen with every load. Could it be control board problem?

I don't think this is a board problem but it's possible if the washer really does drain and the error occurs anyways. If the washer really doesn't drain when the Ld appears, then the error is accurate and the board is fine. "ld" means that your washer isn't draining. You'll need to tip the the washer backwards and unplug the unit so you can get under the washer. The drain pump is mounted to the back of the washer under the tub. It will need to be removed to check for any blockages. If you find nothing, then drain all the water out and try the washer again. If you get the error code again and you found nothing in the drain pump, you need to replace the drain pump itself. Below is a video that shows you how to remove the drain pump so you can check for debris or replace the pump. Also, just so you understand---that buzzing noise is the drain pump trying to run.
