My refrigerator iced up and the inside of the refrigerator

My refrigerator iced up and the inside of the refrigerator seems to be getting warm so I unplugged it and let it defrost now that it is defrosted the refrigerator display reads 55 degrees after being on all night it does not seem to be getting cold

I don't know how long you had it off, but this is a French door refrigerator and when it ices up ( something is wrong with the defrost system ) it will ice up heavily in the portion above where the evaporator is , where the supply and return for the fresh food air is. It even takes a long time with a hair dryer to thaw it. Most likely there is still ice there.
