My LG ice maker seems to be making ice but it is not dropping

Customer Question

my LG ice maker seems to be making ice but it is not dropping out of the tray. when i trun it on off and then on again it seems to want to rotate but appears to be stuck? could something in there be frozen? i have replaced the waterfilter and there is plenty of water pressure on the drinking water side

If the icemaker isn't cycling, the only thing you can do is use a hair dryer to thaw out the icemaker and then let it cool down and see if it cycles on it's own. If it won't cycle still, you just have a bad icemaker and the entire icemaker would need to be replaced. LG doesn't sell their icemaker in parts.
