My Kenmore Refer Model #106.56534400 is not cooling properly. The Freezer is only getting down to 20 to 24 degrees.

Is both the refrigerator and freezer not cooling or just the freezer?

It is warm to the touch. Not room temp.

Unplug the unit for 2-3 hours and let it defrost real good. Plug unit back up and if it don't cool properly then, you will need to replace the thermostat. Make sure also condenser coils are clean and not dirty as well.

I bought and install a new thermostat but it still does not get cold enough.
I checked the compressor and it is hot to the touch.
