I have a Thermador 5 burner range top. The light for the left

This answer was rated:

I have a Thermador 5 burner range top. The light for the left top burner does not turn off when the burner is turned off. The blue light darkens but is still quite visible. I am concerned that gas is still being emitted. Is the gas still turned on or just the light? and how can I correct it?

No gas is coming out it is the switch on the valve that would need replaced .

But the top of the range has to be raised up which means the screws on the burner heads have to be removed and most times the screws are rusted in place, and will need to be either broken or drilled out even for service people it is a hassle. don`t shoot the messenger!

The range is less than a year old, so I hope the screws won't be rusted in place! But anyway, I am thankful to know that there's no gas coming out and we won't all die during the night. Smile

Thank you!
