We have a fairly new refrigerator that we like a lot except for the ice cube dispenser. It develops a lot of frost that requires us to remove the unit and literally scrub the accumulation off of it. The model is KSF26C7XYY00.
Please help us with this problem.
Thank you.

Hello..It is my Pleasure To Be Working With You Today...Sorry to hear this..If you open the freezer door is there frost at the bottom of the ice bin itself..?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Yes. There is frost in many areas. Also, the ice lumps up into big chunks. Appears to have too much "moisture" and we live in AZ.

Ok great..Most common problem is due to warm air entering through the ice dispenser chute..The flapper is not closing all the way which allows warm air to enter .Check that the flapper is closing all the way..

Just checked it out and it looks like the flapper has a 1/4" gap. Wish we had known this earlier because it has been this way almost from the time we purchased it a year ago. Thank you.

You are very welcome...Also please remember to rate my answer to you at ok or better before leaving today..Thank You Bob
