Need Appliance Repair Help? Ask a Technician for Answers ASAP
Hello, Thank you for using this service, I will be helping you with your problem today
Do you mean get the plate out all together or off the shaft?
that plate is supposed to lift off as soon as you remove the plastic cap and the center bolt. heres a video, now watch the video all the way, the plate removal is about half way through. click this blue link then see help video. http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Basket-Drive-Hub-Kit/280145/1200151?modelNumber=MVWB400VQ0
This is "glued" for lack of a better word by the soap grime on the shaft. try slipping some strong rope under the plate and jerking on it to see if you can break it loose. they have a tool called the agitamer that us techs use but its about $60.00 and if you don't use it a lot its not worth buying. if you use the rope make sure its long enough so when you jerk it if the plate comes up it doesn't hit you in the face.
you would need to get a strong thine rope and work it under. this is the Agi-tamer we use.
