My Rowenta Iron Model DZ5080 has stopped heating. It suddenly overheated (melting the ironing board cover) and now when I plug it it it stays cold. Is there any way I can have it repaired (heating element replaced?) or do I need to purchase a new iron?

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I look forward to helping you! The thermal fuse likely opened after the thermostat control failed. I would replace the iron as repair will cost more than replacement.
