Our fridge freezer cools & freezes but the fridge part does not get cold
Thanks for using this service. Please be logged in to rate my assistance when we are done. Rating 3-5 is good, but 1-2 is bad so talk with me first.

OK first check the cooling fins in the freezer, make sure they are not built up with ice. Second make sure the seals are tight, use a piece of paper to check the seals. Any air leak will cause that issue as the cooling takes place in the freezer and is drafted down to the refrigerator. Third it has to run for up to 24hrs sometimes before you will get cooling. Fourth the unit has to be level. If it is not you may have a vapor lock in the sealed system. If you have tried everything and it still does not cool the refrigerator you may have a bad cooling unit. Dometic units were famous for cooling units going bad. That is an expensive replacement for the actual unit and a lot of times more cost effective to replace the unit itself if that is the case.
