Appliance Doc, there is a Tappan electric range that the surface burners all work, but was told neither the broiler or bake elements heat up. Where would you look first? The clock? The thermostat, relay?
Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today.

If the surface burners still work, then the oven is definitely getting 240 volts which means you don't have a power issue. There are no fuses or cut outs on this model that would stop both bake and broil and if the thermostat sensor stopped both bake and broil you'd be getting an F3 or F2 error code which you're not. Unfortunately that leaves only 2 options. Either both bake and broil elements have failed, or the display control board has a shorted L2 relay and the entire display board will need to be replaced. You can test continuity through either element and if either one tests good, you'll need the control board which is one of the more common failures on this unit. The part number is 316455400 for the display control board.
