The first thing to check is that there is supply at the socket, test with a table lamp.

If thats OK, disconnect the power and remove the lid.

At the termination box is a capacitor, does this look or smell burnt?

nothing appears to be burnt on the machine.

Hi Steve

I am assuming that the outlet has power?

You will need to use a multimeter to test for the continuity of the live and neutral wires up to the main switch or board.
