I have a natural gas Whirlpool Duet Model Number GGW9200LW1

This answer was rated:

I have a natural gas Whirlpool Duet Model Number GGW9200LW1 that does not produce heat. I have cleaned all vents as best as possible. I have also removed the lower front panel and verified the ignitor glows and I also hear a click as if it were trying to ignite a flame however no flame appears. I verified I have a good gas source at the inlet to the dryer. The blower does run and I do not have any error codes. Is there any way to further debug the source of the problem?
Thanks for counting on us to help with your appliance problem. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I look forward to helping you! The coils that open the gas valve are likely weak and will need to be replaced. The coils are mounted on top of the gas valve inside the dryer. One coil opens the valve once the igniter is hot and the other holds the valve open until heat is no longer being called for by the control. When the coils get weak, they may open initially and then not open again or open erratically. Since the dryer heats up initially, all of the thermostats, the fuses and the igniter can be ruled out. Replacing the coils should get you up and running again. If you need help in disassembling the dryer, please let me know! Please let me know if you have additional questions or need clarification. There is no additional charge for any follow up help!
