I just replaced my motor controller, and pump, now my gwl 15 is out of sequense. how do fix it?

applianceguy :

hi, did you program the new control?

Customer:

What do you mean?

Customer:

I do not know what you mean

Customer:

I told the system what machine I wa s using.

Customer:

DOes it need to be reset someway?

applianceguy :

Ok. and the control is doing what?

applianceguy :

What do you mean by out of sequense?

Customer:

When you turn on the machine the first thing it does is fill and draine, it used to aggatate for awhile it is like it starts in the nmiddle of the cycle

applianceguy :

You have the instructions for the install correct? Program the board again.

Customer:

1 mnute while I look at it.

applianceguy :

Ok

Customer:

All I have are size setting instructions.

applianceguy :

That is what i mean. Unplug the washer. Plug back in and do the size setting again

Customer:

I have done that a couple of times is there anything else that will reset the program?

applianceguy :

No. try it again

Customer:

can you wait while I do it?

applianceguy :

I want to look at something. be back in a couple min

applianceguy :

Take your time.

Customer:

Ok

Customer:

I hev to go dto try again, 1 min

applianceguy :

Ok

Customer:

Ok I tried it, and I do not know if it worked. When I did it the instrsions say to press SPIN SPEED UP to lliminate the spin hold LED The spin hold is at the bottom

applianceguy :

Yes but you press up until you get to that setting

Customer:

I have doen this numerous times. Any other way to reset the board?

applianceguy :

No. Start a cycle.

applianceguy :

Advance it to spin

applianceguy :

Does it drain and spin?

Customer:

The setting was already at the hold. SHould I STILL Press up?

applianceguy :

Yes. go through till you get back to it

Customer:

OK I will be right back.

applianceguy :

Ok

applianceguy :

Have you ran it through an entire cycle?

applianceguy :

Does the water drain as soon as it fills or a few min after it fills?

applianceguy :

If the washer is trying to recirulate and the diverter valve is stuck open or is broken, the water will drain out.

Customer:

OK I am back . For the reset the hold button will not SPIN HOLD>I filled the washer and it drains right away

Customer:

How do I check if it is stuck open?

applianceguy :

Tip the washer back. The diverter is a plastic brown Y between your drain hoses. Unclamp from hoses. It should be closed to the drain hose and open to the recirculate hose

applianceguy :

but it would not start draining out for a few min if that was the problem

Customer:

OK I will see

applianceguy :

Not until the washer was recirculating the water.

applianceguy :

If you have programed it correct, you have a bad control

applianceguy :

If you stay in the chat instead of going in and out, it is easier to read our post. It keeps them on the page instead of pushing them up.

Customer:

I am staying in the chat. It says that you keep going off line.

applianceguy :

Sorry.

applianceguy :

I take it you can hear the drain pump running while it is filling?

applianceguy :

How does the diverter valve look?

Customer:

OK I took the hose off antd there was a small nail in the out hose

applianceguy :

Ok, so it was stuck open

Customer:

I do not know if it is damaged

applianceguy :

Did it close after you removed the nail?

Customer:

I will have to run it through a cycle?

applianceguy :

Yes.

applianceguy :

If it still drains, replace the valve

Customer:

OK thank you

applianceguy :

Welcome. Sorry about the site messing up.

applianceguy :

I will report it

Customer:

I will rate your help HIGH

applianceguy :
