Hi my name isXXXXX have been an appliance repair tech since 1992.
Have you checked the dryer door switch itself? And if you hold down the push to start does the motor hum or start? And on last question, do you have the complete model number off the dryer itself so i can pull the diagram on the unit? Should be located inside the dryer door.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

I have tested the door switch .no the motor does not make any sound

model # XXXXX

You will need to check for 120 volts on the motor itself on #6 black, and number #5 white with the dryer on, and the push the start switch. If you got 120 volts, you got a bad motor, if you don't you have a bad timer.
