okay, when he checked the compressor did he actually check for voltage to it ? also your saying he's telling you $1,000.00 dollars to repair is that correct ? is that to replace the compressor ?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

he said no power to compressor a thousand to replace mother board

OMG ! sorry , this guy you need to get rid of, there are two boards in this refrigerator and they are both under $100.00 , thats one hundred dollars. did he say which board? was it the inverter board (which is the one that controls the compressor) ($76.35) or the main control board. ? ($98.90) do you know which one? you can replace these yourself. let me know.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

he didnt say witch one how can i figure it out?

the only way to know is to take a volt meter to the inverter board and see if theres power going to it. if there is then its the bad one. if not the main control is the guess is the inverter has failed. thats the most common one to fail. they are both on the back of the refrigerator behind a panel. the inverter is # XXXXX on the diagram and the main board # XXXXX the inverter is available @ I'm pretty sure thats the one thats bad.

i have a volt meter where do i test?

there are plugs at the bottom (white) test there for 120 volts. also is the fuse on the board blown?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

fuses are good . i dont see where to test. plugs?

you have to get your probes into the plug to test them. are the probes to big ?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

im sorry i dont know what you mean by plugs

okay there are wires going to the board that plug into the board. you need to test for power where the wires connect to the board.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

ok my probes are to big thank you for your help any other thoughts?

Well I'm pretty confident that board is bad, what I would suggest is order it with the link I gave you above, the site you are going to order it through has a 100% money back guarantee if it does not work no matter if you installed or not so you have nothing to lose there and you can send it back. My guess is you won't be sending it back however. We have had to replace quite a few of these for the same reasons you're having trouble. The board is I believe $78.00 or thereabouts. A long shot from $1000.00, if that board does not work then you will need to replace the other one but like I said I'm probably 98% sure that is your issue, well wishes and thanks, Bryan
