I have a Samsung refrigerator with the french doors and bottom frezzer. Today it began making a vibrator noise and it's coming from the ice maker. I turn off the ice maker and the sound gets less loud but is still present. Any ideas?

Hello, Thank you for using this service, I will be helping you with your problem today

do you have the model # ?

Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Model #RF26VABWP
okay does the vibrating noise sound like it could be a fan ?

Perhaps, I'm not certain. If I have turned off the ice maker wouldn't a fan stop?

Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Also, when I open a frig door, the noise stops.

no turning the ice maker off wouldn't shut the fan off , its the evaporator fan for the fresh food section. # XXXXX on this diagram .thats the issue.

Turns out that the noise was a fan that was caused by a stopped drain and ice buildup. There was nothing wrong with the fan at all.
thats good you have it fixed

I believe that the first response should probably be like computer techs give; reboot. In the case of a frig; have you checked your drainage.

okay, Thanks, Bryan
