SubZero_Wolf Expert :

Hello, I can help you with this. Do you have the model number? Most machines have a wire arm that is part of the ice maker right above the mold. If you lift that bar all the way up it should lock in the off position and not make ice. also most models will not make ice if you remove the bucket. If you give me the model number (in the refer section) i can tell you for sure on this one.

JACUSTOMER-nlrit2vm- :

72862100, but won't heat be allowed in thru that line?

SubZero_Wolf Expert :

Let me look up the model diagram right now.

SubZero_Wolf Expert :

That model number isn't coming up usually the kenmore stuff is something like 110.568.84. The arm I am reffering to is part of the small icemaker machine in the freezer, the arm would just be lifted up, nothing that would interfere with the insulation. That would turn it off. Am I mistaken and you want to remove the ice maker module completely?
