Robert : Hello.
Robert : Let me pull that unit up.

Robert : Pull the dryer away from the wall and remove the complete back panel on the dryer. The heating element will have wires going to it on the right side. It is held on by 2 screws and is pretty easy to replace.
Robert :
Robert : That link will give you a pic of the element. Number 17 is the one
Robert : It is part number 279838.
Robert : I recommend replacing number 9 at the same time. Part number 279816.
Robert : Sound like something you can handle?

why replace #9

Robert : It is the thermal cutoff on the unit. It is the safety device so the dryer doesn't overheat. If it is not heating then the element is bad OR the thermal cutoff is bad. I replace them when I do the element just for customer protection.

That makes sense. I do thank you and know what my project is for tomorrow.

Robert : You are welcome. Just let me know if you need anything else.

thanks and have a great evening,
