My daughter was heating a bowl of soup in our GE Microwave

Resolved Question:

My daughter was heating a bowl of soup in our GE Microwave and left a metal spoon in the bowl. Now it doesn't work. Is there some kind of fuse she could have blown?

okay thanks, XXXXX XXXXX microwave with a metal object inside will cause the microwaves to reflect back to the magnetron, which will cause the magnetron to fail. the part runs around #130.00 to repair however this must be done by a qualified microwave technician, Microwaves are dangerous to work on. these can store a lethal amount of voltage in the high voltage capacitor. If its not discharged correctly can kill you. please have a qualified tech take care of this issue. thanks, Bryan
