Customer Question

i have an epic Z front load washer. It is stuck with clothes and water in it. The door was locked. I unplugged and plugged back in. It seems to get stuck on "add a garment" How do I get the washer to drain and hopefully start working again?

okay you need to remove the bottom panel and clean the pump trap. theres an access panel under the door # XXXXX on this diagram. unscrew it slowly there will be water , clean the trap, the door should open after that and you can restart the machine. if it doesn't unplug it and plug it back in. if you need more help let me know, thanks , Bryan

I was running a load and an error came up. It is D5 or 5d. I had to leave the house for awhile. Any ideas?

Possible Causes / Procedure

■ If too much detergent was used:

-Run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle.

-Run a Normal cycle without adding any detergent.

This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.

1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged

or kinked.

2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.

3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump,

pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU).

4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.

5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.

6. Check drain pump.

7. Check the pressure switch.

8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle

is the code still there ?
