My Bosch dishwasher is an SHU4326UC machine purchased about

Resolved Question:

My Bosch dishwasher is an SHU4326UC machine purchased about 10 years ago. When I turned it on last night it appeared to start up (could hear motor running) but no water is going into machine. At the same time my disposal would not work. Had disposal repairman here today and he fixed the disposal and did check to see if water to dishwasher ok - he said water should be going into dishwasher but it isnt. He said I needed a Bosch repairman but did said that it could possible be a solinoid valve. Can you give me a guess if he is correct or what else it might be and recommend a repairman. Thanks for your help!

does the motor you hear run and run and never stop ?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
I believe it keeps running because it lights up and I think I hear a motor and disposal repairman said it was going on. I wear hearing aides so not always able to be sure motor is running but believe it is.

okay, well this will not fill with water because the base pane has water in it.

the float is stuck in an up position keeping the drain pump in the pan running. the float is # XXXXX on this diagram.

this is difficult to get to and dry the pan out. what you need to do is pull the machine from under the counter and remove the left side panel. there will be a small opening you can get a small towel into and sop up the water. the only other way to do this is take a hair dryer and remove the front panel under the door # XXXXX on this diagram ,

and point the hair dryer under the machine and let it dry the pan out, this could take all day though. once the pan is dry you can restart the machine as normal. I have the same machine and have had to do this several times over the years. hope this helps, thanks Bryan
