I have a wcvh6800 J1WW...

I have a wcvh6800 J1WW ge front load washer. about 2 years old. It recently started to leak . I cleaned the holes at the base of the gasket, emptied the drain on the lower left (which had nothing to clean out) and I cleaned the detergent basket area. I then ran through a cycle without any detergent or clothes and there was no leaking! I then ran a small load of clothes with my usual small amount of an HE detergent (7th generation). It leaked again. My suspicion is something is not working in the dispenser part of the process. When it was finished there was still a bit (about 1/2 inch) water remaining in the cup. Before I pay the $200 for the home visit (it is a stacked unit so 2 repair people need to come) I thought I give you shot at it.

The draw is clean and I checked and made sure the little siphon tube is wide open. I have been all over that compartment and can't find anything blocked that I can see. Also I never even use the two little compartments for the softener and whatever else

Water doesn't not appear in the front of the machine and I couldn't see any when I view the back which I can peak at from below in my basement. I am not sure where to trouble shoot. I don't know if there is some access to this draw from the front of the machine. or what. I would like to be be able to avoid the "home" visit of repair but that may not be possible

Well, you won't be able to see anything with the dryer on top. The top panel of the washer will need to come off.
