okay , can you remove the back panel and look at the frost pattern on the evaporator coils? the panel inside the freezer behind your food?

Expert:  Bryan replied 5 years ago.
do you think you are able to take the back panel inside the freezer out ? behind the food . the panel with the frost ? do you think you can ?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.

will have to defrost to get it open

Expert:  Bryan replied 5 years ago.
probably if theres a lot of frost. what you have is a defrost issue, this is automtic defrost but its not working and thats whats causing your issue. once you defrost the panle you will see screws to remove the panel.

if you can give me a couple ideas to check i would be greatful and i wont keep u any longer
Expert:  Bryan replied 5 years ago.
okay , there are two things, one is the defrost heater. you probably have a single in there now and its probably burnt out. thats the most common cause in your refrigerator, its mounted at the bottom of the coils once you get the panel out, if its good replace the defrost thermostat. heres a link to all the parts. defrost the entire freezer and put the panel back in and it will run fine until you get whichever part is bad. hope this helps, thanks Bryan
