We have several Calphalon 8782-2 pots and pans. We have had them a number of years. Lately, we have noticed that food has begun to stick to their surfaces, regardless of whether we season with oil, butter, or salt. What do we do?
Veggie oil, sprays and margarine will ruin non stick coatings over time.
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Is there a way to improve or fix this problem, or are the surfaces of these pans just going to continue getting worse?
They will continue to get worse....nonstick pans are intended for a very small number of things like stir fry and cooking eggs
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Interesting...even eggs cooked in butter are sticking to the pans now. Does mean they should be replaced?
Replacing would be a good idea although I know this Brand is rather expensive
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Is there a brand, style and/or finish that you would recommend that would be cost effective, if applicable, but above all offer maximum resistance to sticking, even cooking and easy care?
one question first..do you preheat your pan before adding butter?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Typically, yes.
ok so if you do preheat and it still sticks then i would replace them
