My whirlpool duet washer was in the middle of a wash cycle

Resolved Question:

My whirlpool duet washer was in the middle of a wash cycle when our water had to be shut off for a bathroom repair. There was a beep and when the water came back on, the cycle tried to continue but it doesn't sound right. I tried pressing cancel twice but nothing is happening. I even tried un plugging it for a few minutes and still nothing happened.

yes there was a flashing F - something but not sure what. and a beeping.
i pressed the pause button and the cycle stopped. but when he turned the water back on the machine tried to resume. there is no water going through the machine now. and it making a strange noise like the cycle is "stuck" but nothing is happening.

you should try to get the numbers to come back..... that is very improtant but if you let it sit and do it thing for a wile it will probably start working also unplug it for 30 minuts

i did try to unplug it for 30 minutes. when i plugged it back in the same thing happened. it went into a cycle. it sounds like it is drying to drain or something but no water is going through.
i just need to get the door open and get the wet clothes out.
Expert:  master appliance tech replied 5 years ago.
here is how to open the door.

1 unplug the unit.
2 remove the lower front panel. ( the scewers are on the the bottom )
3 reach up under the door lock theres a round thing that you pull down on and it will unlock the door
