Hello. Thank you for choosing Just Answer. I will be helping you with your question today. Do you ever see standing water left in the tub?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
NO I have just noticed my clothes are wet not almost dry like in used to spin. I even tried the spins cycle only and still wet.
Expert:  Appliance Man replied 5 years ago.
Does the tub spin when the washer is in spin just not fast?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Yes the tub does seem to spin slower when washing but the clothes get washed now when the final spin it is very slow.
Expert:  Appliance Man replied 5 years ago.
You have a bad motor. The motor is getting weak. The washer wont spin to full speed if the motor is weak.
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
So that means I need a new washing machine? Or can it be a DIY fix
Expert:  Appliance Man replied 5 years ago.
I would recommend a tech to replace the motor.
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
are you sure it is the motor could it be a belt instead?
Expert:  Appliance Man replied 5 years ago.
If the washer is spinning at all the belt is good.
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
You mean to say that if the washer is washing then the belt is good but if the washer does not do the final spin that is a bad motor. I would think it would be the other way around
Expert:  Appliance Man replied 5 years ago.
If the drum is turning at all the belt is good. If the washer just wont ramp up to high speed spin you have a bad motor.
