Resolved Question:

I have a Kitchen Aid gas range that neither the broiler,or the bake will light. Both glow coils come on and heat as they should. I have traced the problem back to the over safety valve. I have no way of checking the thermister in series with the glow plugs, but thought since both work well that the thermister should be ok since it is in series and obviously is not open. Am I in the right place?

Are you still looking? I was planing to order a new valve, but wanted to verify with an expert my diagnosis.

okay if it doesn't light in this model it could only be the valve if the top lights okay. this should be replaced by a tech however, this need to be installed correctly or its dangerous.
