my GE Profile gas range is making a high pitched ringing noise. I unplugged the power and it didn't stop.

where is the ringing noise coming from exactly on the range itself?

Have you tried to pull the unit forward and turn the gas off to see if the noise goes away? Did the noise go away while the oven was unplugged?

ok then that means your control board is faulty. The control board is the only part that stores power in it when unplugged so it's the only part that can be making the noise. You'll need to order and replace the display control board to fix the issue.

how can I make the noise stop until I get it fixed?

Remove the display control board and put it out in your garage? Otherwise it'll be a day or more of leaving it unplugged before the capacitors run out of juice in the control board and the noise stops if you just unplug the range.
