one of my stove top burners isn't doing get it to work, first I have to turn it on high...then once it heats up I can turn it down...if I don't do it this way, it won't heat up...when I first turn it on, I can hear a kind of crackling/popping noise

stove has 4 burners...3 small, and one large[7 1/5"]'s the larger one, front right
When you hit is crackling noise is coming from the burner itself? If you put your ear down near there can you hear if it's the burner itself ? I believe you need to replace the burner terminal block,this is what the burner plugs into and crackling noise you hear is the receptacle not contacting with the burner itself I see this a lot. These are cheap and easy to replace, you can order one at the following link for $8.90, these come with instructions also, thanks, Bryan
