I have a newly purchased kenmore elite standalone under counter

Resolved Question:

I have a newly purchased kenmore elite standalone under counter icemaker
which worked great untill a lightning storm about a week ago. I seems to
have no power but has a hum. I check the ground fault outlet which is ok,
and even plugged in into a normal outlet but still no interior light, no leds light
up on insidecontrol panel. I there an internal fuse or reset.

Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today.

If you have no interior lights or anything, that means your drain pump shorted out, or your main control board in the ceiling shorted and will need to be replaced.

If you have a pump and your unit is not gravity drain, pull your icemachine out and remove the back panel. The ice machine actually plugs into the big plastic drain pump and the drain pump plugs into the wall. Unplug the drain pump from the wall and then unplug the ice machine from the drain pump. Now plug the ice machine into the wall directly. If it doesn't turn the ice machine on, you need a new control board. Otherwise you'll need to replace the drain pump if the ice machine turns on.
