We have a built in microwave that the turnstyle does not rotate

Resolved Question:

We have a built in microwave that the turnstyle does not rotate any more - it just sudddenly stopped. The middle numbers on the pad also don't work 2, 5, and 0 (the 8 works). We have home repair insurance. Can this be fixed or will we need to buy a new microwave?

Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today.

This can be repaired, but you have 2 separate issues. If the middle numbers don't work, that would require a new touchpad to fix the issue. As for the turntable not turning, that could be either a bad turntable motor or a bad display relay control board not sending power to the turntable motor. With home repair insurance, you'll pay a deductible and they will get a price of the repair. If it ends up being too much, they'll give you money to buy a new microwave normally.
