Hi I'm John I will help you with the agitator problem.

The part that holds the agitator on the transmission is the beige part under the agitator remove the bolt that holds it down and replace that bell it will fix the problem.

something is rattling (sounds like a loose nut) that holds the agitator in place
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Can I take the agitator apart and screw it back on to the transmission?

How can I reattach the agitator? The nut or bell is inside the agitator housing, How do I get to it?

The bell is number 310 the agitator just sits on that part , remove the bolt number 301 and tap the bell upwards till it comes off you can spray w d 40 it will lift up easier.

The bell is in the agitator

Its not part of the agitator its a separate part.
