Resolved Question:

We have an older whirlpool in wall oven model rb760pxyq that was installed when we built or house and have since had our cabinetts up graded around it and its matching white microwave. The oven does nt seem to be heating correctly , being set to eg. 350 and only heating to 270. Can this be fixed or are we looking at the possible LARGE expense of replacing both and probable cabinette modification?

Hello,

This can be fixed for sure and for a lot less then making cabinet modifications.

Set the oven to broil. Do you see the element glow?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
When the oven is set to broil the element does glow
Expert:  Appliance Medic replied 6 years ago.
Ok and the same with the bake?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
It's set at 350 but the lower ellement does not glow
Expert:  Appliance Medic replied 6 years ago.
I suspect that the lower element is the only problem. The broil element can heat to that temp. Check the element and replace it.
