Expert:  Appliance Tech Larry replied 6 years ago.
how long has it been since its dumped any ice?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

Maybe a month. The water filter light came on so I thought that was the cause. Replaced the filter but ice maker did not start up again.

the head with sensor is bad and it will cost about $70 but i would advise replacing the complete icemaker and not tear the one down and rebuild it and you can get the new complete icemaker for about $79 and the part number is XXXXX you can get it at a local appliance parts dealer near you ,, Glad i could help you with your problem so please press the accept button before you leave ,, thanks
