Hi I'm John I will help you with the washer problem.

Open and close the lid can you hear a slight click from the lid switch, also send me the model number please.

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
I did open and close the lid with a click -- where can I find the model number? Thank you for your help.
Expert:  John replied 6 years ago.
Open the lid the model number plate should be there.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Ok on the lid it says SM8525079 Rev A and on a plate it says SN3000PWZ and there's another number too but I believe that's the serial number.
Expert:  John replied 6 years ago.

It could still be the lid switch you will have to check that heres how to replace the lid switch its the most common problem with that make and model.

Sir, I have wet clothes and water filled to the top - there is no way I can take apart this washing machine. Thoughts?
Expert:  John replied 6 years ago.
If you watched the video you can take the cabinet off with the washer full of water to replace the lid switch.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
I'm very sorry because this is my first time using this service. I have unplugged and plugged it back in and now it's working!!!! I didn't need to bother you! I'm sorry.
Expert:  John replied 6 years ago.
A failing lid switch will cause that to happen I would replace the lid switch.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

Alright - I will consider that if this problem persists.

Thanks again.

Actually, since you didn't help me - do I pay for this - no, right?

Expert:  John replied 6 years ago.
