I have the 500 series front loader washer. I am getting E13

Resolved Question:

I have the 500 series front loader washer. I am getting E13 error message and it is not draining all the water. Standard filter checks and maintenance reveal nothing. Help.

ok this is the error code,

 

hoseE:13 Drain pump time exceeded ,Faulty drain pump, wire harness, hose

 

check the drain hose and mp assembly for any obstuctions, also make sure the plug is tight, check for power o the p. if all these are good replace the pump. thanks Bryan

sorry dont know how that came out that way, what it was meant to say is check the power to the pump. wierd thats what I wrote the first time but it didnt come out that way sorry.

Is that just the plug in or is there a different way to check that?

You need to check power to it while it is a drain cycle, you can test it right at the plug to the pump, there are two wires on the plug put your probes into the plug and see if it's getting power, it should get 120 volts if it is the pump is the problem, thanks, Bryan

Is that in the access circle on the front of the washer or do you take the back off

You can't reach it through the circle in the front, you will need to take the back off and reach in, here's the diagram, this can be a pain in the neck hope this helps though, thanks, Bryan
