Hi....Bob here... I see you are having a problem with your oven...After trying from the instructions what happened..?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Nothing. When locking the door, there are two settings . When on the first the oven hums. On the second no sound.
Expert:  Bob L Your Appl Pal replied 6 years ago.
Ok good the humming is the door latch assembly...When is the last time the feature was used..?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
It has been a long time. Wife always had problem. She is gone now.
Expert:  Bob L Your Appl Pal replied 6 years ago.
Sorry to hear about that..It sounds l;like you are doing everything correctly...The humming is the door trying to lock so the self clean can begin. At this point you would need to have the latch tested with a meter.Either that or the latch is not lining up with the door..Either case you are really in a good position...I recommend to all my customers not to use the self clean..More so on older ovens..The extreme heat created by the feature can and will damage the ovens Computer/Clock...This is a expensive repair..
