i placed a load of...

i placed a load of clothes into the washer. closed the door. turned the timer to wash. the water came into the tub. the water stopped filling. at that point the tub should start to tumble. but it did not move. the timer continued to advance. at the proper time the water was pumped out. as the timer advanced the water would fill and pump out at the proper time. the timer went through the cycle. but the tub nener moved. when the timer reached the final spin the motor began to run and the tub spun at high speed. after the spin the motor shut down, the timer advanced and buzzer sounded and the door lock light went off.

i removed thepressure switch . checked from terminal 1 across to terminal 2 it was closed . i to 3 was open. i blew into the switch . terminal 1 to 2 was open 1 to 3 was closed

no i did not. i was thinking that the pressure switch was the problem. but was not sure. the only thing in the line is the motor protector . i did not think that was the problem be cause the motor worked in the final spin.

Try this Take the hose off the pressure switch and blow really hard into the hose and see if you can hear air blowing into the tub? Also when you blew it into the pressure switch did you hear it click?

i did blow into the tube and heard the air in ;the tub. i did hear the click in the switch. if you were checking this washer what would check first and so on.

The first would be the pressure switch try this do a wash clothes dosent have to be in it but as soon as it gets to the agitation blow into the pressure switch you will need to get the same diameter hose to put on the end of the pressure switch. Can you do that then get back with me on the results? If this dosent change anything then we will look elsewhere.
