I have a little Duracraft electric space heater about 8 square

Resolved Question:

I have a little Duracraft electric space heater about 8" square that has been sitting in the garage unused for over a year. I plugged it in and it heats up right away just fine. But when I pick it up, something inside rattles around a lot, like something has broken. Is it safe to use? What could make that sound?

Craig :

It's probably the 'tip switch' that you hear. It shuts the heater off if it tips over. Try it and see if it shuts down when laid on it's side.
