I inherited my caloric stove when I bought my house 5 years

Customer Question

I inherited my caloric stove when I bought my house 5 years ago. As we were cleaning the stove, the burners started "clicking"-as if they were trying to light. This has never worked in the past-we have always had to light the burners with a match.

Hi, this is Russ, I'll be helping you with your problem today. THANKS! There is attached to the burner valves a switch for the electronic ignition...Cleaning it gor some liquid in the switch and started it working again.....It may stop clicking if you use a hair dryer on the switches (valves). remove the knobs and blow the hair dryer on them for a period of 15 min or so. thanks
