Last week I repaired my Maytag PAV2300AWW washing machine by replacing the snubber to fix the wobbling and banging during spin cycles. There was a burning smell and water had leaked from under the machine, not from a loose hose.Answer Summary
Did you check the water pump you can tip the washer back to check that. It would smell like lightly warm rubber if the pump leaked.check it and let me know.
