is this a user serviceable part? I'm a automotive technician with excellent mechanical and AC skills and should be able to address this issue unless it requires removing the 134 refrigerant from unit. Also, how are the fault codes removed from the unit's processor? A simple power off procedure or a step by step process on the processor?

the hot gas defrost is on the system line and some are easy enough to change and just slides down on the hight side and some are soldered on so its hard to tell you ,, you will have to get into it and see ,, it will have two wires thats plugs onto it and it should be on the coils and on some models its beside the compressor
