do you know if the igniter is comming on? do you hear a click(kinda loud) inside when you start this?

No igniter click just the blower motor running

first thing to do id unplug the igniter and put you meter on the plug end that comes from the dryer, start the dryer , are you getting 120 volts?

I have 120 volts and it looks and sounds like the igniter is working. I hear the click and see a flash along with the click.

this is the igniter. plug the igniter back in this should come on and glow not flash if it doesn't its bad.

Is there any way to check if gas is flowing through the burner? With an aim a flame or a long match?

no the safety valve wont open unless the igniter is glowing is it?

it will work if your getting 120 volts to it, the igniter is shorted, you can order this on line @ or get one locally, thanks Bryan


P.S. be real careful installing this, dont hit it on anything at all these are real fragile,
